You have probably listened to friends chatting about wheatgrass capsules at some point during the last few years. Maybe you’ve overheard discussions at work or member of the family already utilising one of the numerous types of wheatgrass but if you’re like most people, you might still misunderstand wheat grass or the natural healing power wheat grass harnesses.
Wheatgrass is basically the young blades of grass grown from wheat grain. When the wheatgrain is planted it begins to develop shoots within two or three days. A few days after this these shoots grow into blades of dense green grass. In as little as 8-10 days the wheatgrass can be ready for harvesting, Its woth noting at this stage that whilst the wheat grass already is abundant in high levels of enzymes it hasn’t had the required time to process complex carbohydrates which are often found in over-wintered wheatgrass.
As soon as the wheatgrass is ready to be harvested it is usually turned into various forms, which usually include wheatgrass powder (Typically made by drying and crushing the wheatgrass blades into a fine powder) wheatgrass capsules (simply the powder filled into capsules for easy digestion) wheat grass tablets (again typically the powder cold pressed into tablet form) and wheatgrass juice. (The wheat grass blades are juiced in a specialist wheatgrass juicer which crushes the liquid out of the wheat grass leaving essential nutrients intact.)
Any of the various forms of wheat grass are packed with an abundance of health boosting attributes, with a large range of vitamins enzymes, minerals and amino acids. Wheatgrass also contains at least 70% chlorophyll, which is extremely similar to blood due to its DNA structure. This means that our bodies can absorbs the nutritional content in wheatgrass very easily.
wheatgrass capsules has been around for a long time but it has only just arrived in the UK and it can now be found online and at most juice bars. Wheat grass has been in use for many medical conditions and can be used topically for external skin problems such as eczema and acne. When consumed internally it can help detoxify the blood stream replenishing it with vital nutrients which are required for optimum health.
