If you are an absolute beginner or if you studied when you were a child and left it, to start playing the keyboards or the piano you will need to take some type of lessons. Which ever your situation, the way of learning remains the same.
There are quite a few tuition methods but in general they are all very similar. Many beginners nowadays will be playing on electronic keyboards instead of a traditional piano but for a beginner the methods will be the same. The aim of a lot of people who take up piano lessons today could be to be able to read music, to have the skills to play some classical music, and often to be able to play in different styles like jazz, pop, rock etc. In many cases the beginner might also have an interest in accompanying other instrumentalists or singers.
This might appear a lot to achieve as a complete beginner but if you know what your aims are then accomplishing them will only be a matter of time. Within a relatively short period you will find that you can achieve all of the above.

Learn Piano Fast
I had the pleasure of having to review a home study course for piano and keyboards called ‘Piano For All’. I recently wrote a review for this course and will let you know my impressions. These same notes are then shown to you on the musical stave so you can go about familiarizing yourself with them. The next step is to show you how to play a simple melody which entails using all of the fingers, as a leaning aid. This tune is written in musical notation and as a simple keyboard diagram
This is only the first part of the first lesson. Now you are taught the three notes you will need to be able to play a basic chord. To play the chord you are given an easy little rhythm to play. Next you are taught how to play the first note of the chord with your other hand only an octave further down the keyboard which forms the bass line. Add a rhythm to this and suddenly you are playing authentic sounding piano.
Here is a comparative review on the Best Piano Courses available.
When playing this chord with its bass line becomes easy you can then go onto learning a few more simple chords. Once you have learned a few chords you can play them changing from one to another in order and you will discover that you are playing genuine piano songs or accompaniments. If you learn to play using this method you will discover that it is really simple and this will give you confidence in your playing leaving you with a taste for more. As you progress you are taught some more chords, different rhythms and tunes. For each exercise you will see the notes you are playing written in keyboard diagrams and traditional musical notation. You will realize that you are suddenly playing keyboards or piano in much less time than you imagined.
This is actually one of the best beginner piano courses available at the moment as it teaches you multiple styles including pop, classical, rock jazz and gospel. It will also show you how to read music, how to play by ear and how to improvise.
