I was born in Gloucester, but had not been back for over ten years, and the fact that we had decided to take on an additional copywriter for a couple of months to help us through our launch, we decided we had to fly over to the UK mainland to actually meet Jenny, who offers a copy writing service for web masters. Muddy Puddle Media has worked for many blue chip companies and comes highly recommended.

We flew into Gloucestershire Airport with Manx2 direct from The Isle of Mann, a fast little shuttle service which is less than an hour . Landing at Gloucester Airport is a great experience, with its exceptionally short runway, only the smallest commercial flights are allowed to land here. Once off the plane, you are through security checks in a flash the airport is that small.

Gloucester Airport is situated halfway between Cheltenham and Gloucester and is such a small airport, not even having the service of a bus stop or a taxi rank. Luckily for us, we had ordered Gloucester Airport Taxis to meet us up at 09.30 hrs and drive us to our hotel in Gloucester.

Once arrived and checked in, we found we had a room with a view right opposite was the Gloucester Rugby Club Stadium, shame there was no game on tonight as we had a cracking view of the pitch from our second floor window of this listed Edwardian building, one of the only Hotels in Gloucester in walking distance of the City Centre, as many of them are three and four miles outside of the town centre.

We had arranged to meet Jenny at a pub called Cafe Rene for lunch, which apparently has a reputation as a highly haunted building. Over 300 years of reference to ghosts, it sure has some history about it, it even has a deep well inside the bar area, I wonder how many people have fallen down there over the years after a night of drinking.

Our lunch was very successful, our new copywriter was on the same wave length as us, which will make managing the copy more stress free, also, Jenny was very clued up on search engine marketing, so it seems like we found a very good copywriter worth looking after.

Just a quick note on the hotel we stayed at, which is called The Albert House. If you are a rugby supporter and your team ever play Gloucester at rugby, opposite the ground with plenty of pubs and restaurants close by, you really would be staying right in the middle of the atmosphere, and try and book the overlooking room on the 2nd floor!
